This is a bouquet for a June 10th bride. She was married in the open fields of Blackberry Cove. The sunflowers are a definitive summer flower and they mix so well with the blue delphinium, yarrow, and solidago. The ivy that you see in this bouquet is a living plant, root system and all. The ivy is from the same plant that the bride's mother used in her wedding bouquet! We absolutely loved this idea and think it is a wonderful way to incorporate sentimental and heartfelt history into your wedding day!
Here is the matching hairpiece for the bride. The viking mum is the perfect mini-sunflower! Here it is mixed with eryngium (or as I like to call it, blue thistle, because I can pronounce it!), delphinium, and freesia tips. Emily, our master maker of all wearable florals whipped this up. She's good! See more of her stuff here {and be sure to LIKE us on Facebook :)}
No summer is complete without the stunning, fragrant stargazer lilies! Here they are mixed with roses and freesia.
Here are the stargazers arranged with glads, hanging amaranthus, roses, hydrangea, and a killer view from the Crest Center. These are really cool arrangements that are done in tiki torches. Cool, huh? It's a great, cost effective way to designate your ceremony site. We love good ideas!
Ladies and gentleman, hold your hats on...this is SUMMER! It is hard for me to contain my happiness when browsing through these pictures. This wedding consisted of nearly every flower that I have ever loved (and that is A LOT). Puffy local peonies, vibrant red anemones, local hydrangea and goosenecks, butterfly bush, butterfly weed, sweet william, seeded eucalyptus, calendula, purple lisanthus, golden oregano, fresh mint, local hosta leaves, stunning begonia leaves, crowned aster, ranuncula, scabiosa, poppy (!!!) and the list goes on. Enjoy as I inundate you with photos and most of all, enjoy the beauty of summer!
